Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmmi Bomb is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Ever since the trailer of the much-awaited film was dropped online, netizens are calling out the makers and actors for various reasons. Laxmmi Bomb is the official Hindi remake of Muni 2: Kanchana directed by the same director Raghava Lawrence. For this film, Akshay Kumar reunited with Tusshar Kapoor, who is one of the producers. For quite some time, reports of film turning into a franchise, like the original Kanchana, are doing the rounds of social media.
Reacting to the same, producer Tusshar Kapoor spilled the beans on same and told Zoom, “Yes of course. I don't know now. That depends on the response to the film. If you guys watch it and make it a blockbuster, we will definitely come back. Whether it is a prequel or a sequel, I don't know but we will come back.”
During the same interview when he was asked if makers plan to re-release the film in cinemas, Kapoor said, “I don't know about that part because the distributors will be able to give you an answer to that. I am not interacting with the cinemas daily because I am the producer here. The film's distributor is Fox Star Studios and it will be their strategy, their plan to release the film once cinemas re-open. What is happening there, I really don't know.”
Laxmmi Bomb is scheduled to release on OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar from November 9. (ALSO READ: Laxmmi Bomb: Hindu Sena Demands Akshay Kumar Starrer’s Title To Be Changed For Allegedly Promoting ‘Love Jihad’; Calls It ‘Derogatory’ And ‘Offensive’)
